I have an HP officejet pro 8720. I have refillable cartridges that were showing 2 error messages, one was that the magenta and yellow were depleted and needed to be refilled, the other was that the black was connected to a continuous ink system (it wasn't).
I removed the cartridges and got everything refilled, including my spare black cartridge.
I am still getting the same message. The person who refilled my cartridge said that it is likely due to an update from HP that is an intentional way for them to prevent their customers from using refillable ink. Can anyone confirm this for me? Is there a way to prevent or fix this?
If anyone from HP is reading this and this is in fact an intentional method used to prevent your customers from using their products, that they paid for and were willing to support you as consumers, that doesn't make me want to run out and buy a product that says HP on it. That tells me that you don't value me or my willingness to purchase your products, that tells me that my next purchase will not be made to a company that puts money over people. If this wasn't an intentional method used to force your customers to buy products they weren't intending to, I look forward to this being remedied.
