@Preacher33, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding failed printhead!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

If you encounter the error code OXC19A0023 related to a missing or failed printhead, follow these steps to resolve the issue:

Reset the Printer Without Ink Cartridges Installed

Open the cartridge access door or lid:

  • If the carriage moves to the center of the printer, continue with these steps.
  • If the carriage does not move to the center, close the access door or lid, disconnect the power cord from the printer and power source, wait 60 seconds, reconnect the power cord to the printer and wall outlet, and turn the printer on. Proceed if the carriage moves.

Remove the cartridges from the printer.

Disconnect the power cord from the printer while it is turned on.

Unplug the power cord from the power source.

Wait for 60 seconds.

Reconnect the power cord directly to a wall outlet and then to the printer.

Note: HP recommends plugging the printer directly into a wall outlet.

Turn the printer on.

Reinsert the cartridges and close the cartridge access door or lid.

Follow the steps to align the printer, if prompted.

Take care, and have an amazing day!
