HP DeskJet 2710 All-in-One Printer

Try to print but always have a printer blocked message and can't print have a flashing information light contuinesely and have some mail type flashing on screen

The image shows the control panel of an HP DeskJet 2710 All-in-One Printer with a flashing information light, which typically indicates an error that needs attention. The small display also appears to show an issue related to the ink or a connectivity problem.

Possible Causes & Solutions:

Printer Blocked Message (Flashing Info Light)

  • Check for paper jams inside the printer.
  • Open the front access door and reinstall the ink cartridges to ensure they are properly seated.
  • Restart the printer and try printing again.

Flashing Mail Icon on the Display

  • This usually indicates an HP ePrint or network connectivity issue.
  • Ensure the printer is connected to Wi-Fi (steady blue Wi-Fi light).
  • If the Wi-Fi light is blinking, reconnect the printer using the HP Smart app.

Ink Cartridge Issue

  • If the ink indicator is flashing on the screen, check if the ink cartridges are correctly installed.
  • If using HP Instant Ink, ensure that the printer is connected to the internet.
  • Try cleaning the contacts on the ink cartridges.

Software & Driver Issues

  • If printing fails, uninstall and reinstall the HP printer drivers from the official HP website.
  • Use HP Print and Scan Doctor (Windows) or HP Smart App (Mac/iOS/Android) for diagnostics.
