My HP 6960 will not print blue ink and a new cartridge has not helped. Cleaned and aligned heads etc

Printer stopped printing blue ink and a change of cartridge and all running all the usual maintenance and cleaning routines has not resolved this.  This implies a mechanical fault. The printer is a few years old so not under any warranty.

I appreciate your efforts in trying to resolve this issue by performing the necessary troubleshooting steps.

If you have performed all the steps from this document and new ink cartridges make no difference, this could be a hardware issue. 

However, try updating the firmware if not done already. Click here

If this does not help, I recommend you contact phone support for repair.
