My OfficeJet HP 6970 printer won’t print in black - color is ok. I have done the following: put in a new hp black cartridge; cleaned the head; aligned it; did a factory reset; updated the firmware; and tried it on both a PC and iPad. It prints a setup report in black. I haven’t checked for a smear because I don’t know how. Do I need another cartridge? I crashed my PC trying to resolve this issue. Can someone out there help me.
