Hi @Mlorenson

Welcome to the HP support community.

I understand you're experiencing an issue with your HP device, and I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. I'm here to help you today.

Please try these steps:

2. Verify Cartridge Installation:

  • Ensure the new cartridges are installed correctly. Remove them and reinstall them, making sure they click into place.

3. Check Cartridge Compatibility:

  • Confirm that the cartridges are compatible with your HP 8600 model.

4. Run Printer Maintenance:

  • Access the printer's control panel.
  • Navigate to Setup > Tools > Clean Printhead or Align Printhead. This can sometimes resolve printing issues.

5. Check for Paper Jams:

  • Inspect the printer for any paper jams or obstructions that could be causing a printing problem.

6. Update Printer Firmware:

  • Visit the HP Support website and check for any firmware updates for your printer model.

7. Reset the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
  • Wait for about 60 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on.

8. Check Printer Settings:

  • Make sure the printer is set as the default printer on your computer and that you are using the correct print settings.

9. Use the HP Print and Scan Doctor:

  • Download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor tool from the HP website. This tool can help diagnose and fix printing issues.

I hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Please click “Accepted Solution” if you feel my post solved your issue, it will help others find the solution.
