HP 8710 all-in-one printer
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Multiple times per day, my printer seems to go to sleep.  Touch screen does not respond, placing paper in document feeder to copy does not elicit any response.  Printer appears to be offline to all wireless devices.  I've updated all drivers  on wireless devices but the problem persists.

If I merely unplug the printer and plug it back in, all is well ... until the next time ... which can be 10 minutes or a few days.

Set a static IP address on the printer.

Thank you ... how would I go about doing that?

Maybe one of the HP admin's can walk you through it.

I have the 8715, on the printer display I swipe down from the top, tap on the gear, tap on network setup, tap on wireless settings, tap on wireless setup wizard

I did as you suggested ... an ip address was assigned but it did not ask if I wanted a static ip.  I'll see if this resolves.  Appreciate the assistance.
