Product: HP OfficeJet Pro 9019/Premier All-in-One Printer

My HP 9019 printer/copier has been displaying a false error message for . . . a month, perhaps: "Document Feeder Jam"

 

There was not and is not a paper jam. I have removed the paper tray, dusted with a slightly damp cloth all the parts I can reach, disconnected the printer and reconnected it after 1 min, 5 mins, 10 mins, and searched for new software (none was available). All to no avail. That's why I'm here complaining.

 

Any suggestions?
