HP ENVY 4520 All-in-One Printer

I have had a perfectly working HP Envy 4520 All in One Printer for 5 years and for no reason at all it started acting up yesterday. When I try to print something, it is not found on my computer as an option to print... UNLESS, I unplug the printer first. Then I get ONE and ONLY ONE print job out of it. If I try to print two separate documents, I need to unplug and start all over again. Here is what I have done so far to troubleshoot with zero difference.

I have restarted my computer and my printer several times

I have tried printing from my desktop instead of my laptop (same issue)

I put the printer file in trash from my Mac.

I have restated my router

I have taken the computer off the printer selection with a - and started completely over by adding it all over again with a + (it won't show up unless I unplug and replug.

I am going to go crazy. I have to print a bunch of stuff for a concert tomorrow and there are zero humans that work a HP to work with me in any sort of urgent manner. Please help!

Hi @Speakwithahuman,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd like to help!

We have to perform a Semi Full Reset to unlock the features of the printer/Reset the password.

The reset instructions are specific to your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device.

I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.

In order to access your private messages, click the private message icon on the upper right corner of your HP Community profile, next to your profile Name, or simply click on this link.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Please click “Accepted Solution” if you feel my post solved your issue, it will help others find the solution. Click the “Kudos/Thumbs Up" on the bottom right to say “Thanks” for helping!
