My HP Envy 4500 printer has an error message that reads: "ERROR CODE OXC4EB827F HW_MICCI2 C" The printer is "frozen" and I can't do anything.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:

  • Is the printer stuck at this error?

If not, then we can perform a factory reset on the printer to resolve this issue. You should be able to access the home screen of the printer to do this.

  • On the printer control panel display, from the Home screen, swipe left to select Setup
  • Touch Tools, touch Restore Factory Defaults and then follow the onscreen instructions.

If the printer is stuck on the error, check for any jams inside the printer, refer to - Paper Jam Error

Make sure the print carriage is moving freely - Carriage jam or E3 error
