HP OfficeJet Pro 8035 All-in-One Printer
My HP OfficeJet Pro 8035's display will not change. It's frozen on a message that states "HP recommends you have a replacement available to install when print quality is no longer acceptable." I have unplugged it multiple times but nothing will change the display.

@TerryTMC, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP OfficeJet Pro 8035 All-in-One Printer is frozen on the message:

"HP recommends you have a replacement available to install when print quality is no longer acceptable."

and restarting/unplugging hasn't helped, please try the following steps to resolve the issue:

Perform a Power Reset

This helps clear temporary memory glitches.

  • Turn off the printer using the Power button.
  • Unplug the power cord from the printer and the wall outlet.
  • Wait 60 seconds.
  • Plug the power cord directly into a wall outlet (avoid surge protectors).
  • Turn the printer back on.

Check for Ink Cartridge Issues

Sometimes, a faulty or low ink cartridge can cause the display to freeze.

  • Open the ink cartridge access door.
  • Remove all cartridges and inspect them for damage or leaks.
  • Reinstall the cartridges one by one, ensuring they click into place.
  • Close the door and check if the display changes.

If you're using refilled or non-HP cartridges, try replacing them with genuine HP cartridges.
