My printer will not copy a document or print a file from my PC.   I get a message " An other job is in progress".   I cancelled all jobs, but it still won't print.

@MidlakesWelding, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

The "Another job is in progress" error on your HP OfficeJet Pro 9015, even after canceling all print jobs, can often be resolved with a few troubleshooting steps. Here's what you can try:

Step-by-Step Fixes

Restart the Printer and PC

  • Turn off your printer and unplug it from the power source.
  • Restart your computer.
  • Wait 60 seconds, then plug the printer back in and turn it on.

Clear the Print Queue Manually

  • Press Windows + R, type services.msc, and press Enter.
  • Scroll down and find Print Spooler.
  • Right-click it and select Stop.
  • Navigate to C:\Windows\System32\spool\PRINTERS and delete all files in this folder.
  • Go back to the Services window, right-click Print Spooler, and select Start.

Use HP Print and Scan Doctor

  • Download and run HP Print and Scan Doctor.
  • This tool can automatically detect and fix many common printing issues.

Update or Reinstall Printer Drivers

  • Go to HP official support page.
  • Download the latest drivers.
  • Uninstall the current printer software from your PC, then reinstall using the new drivers.

Reset the Printer

  • On the printer’s control panel, go to Settings > Printer Maintenance > Restore > Restore Factory Defaults.
  • This will reset the printer settings but may help clear any stuck jobs.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
