I'm having the exact same issue as others here. My printer (HP OfficeJet Pro 9015e All-in-One Printer) is stuck in this state. I have tried all the various things (unplug for a minute, change ALL 4 cartridges, tried the Diagnose & Fix in HP Smart - it found nothing wrong), and nothing has changed. It still defaults to the "Validating... Please wait." message (I see normal screens first, they go away, and are replaced with this message). And, it's stuck displaying the message, with the blue spinner spinning.

 

The last thing I have not tried yet is the mentioned "semi-full reset". I have checked the manuals and can find no reference to the "semi-full reset" - it's just not there. Can you please tell me how to do this for my particular model?
