It's just stuck on this screen

I have unplugged, started and restarted and it will pull up the home screen, but then it goes back to this.

Hi @LAwoman1962,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Try these steps:

Perform a Hard Reset:

  • Turn off the printer and disconnect the power cord from the back of the printer and the wall outlet.
  • Wait for at least 60 seconds to reset the printer's electronics.
  • Reconnect the power cord to the printer and a direct wall outlet (avoid power strips).
  • Turn on the printer and see if the issue persists.

Update Printer Firmware:

  • If the printer briefly shows the home screen, navigate to the Settings menu and attempt to update the firmware.
  • Alternatively, download the latest firmware from the HP Support site using a computer and follow instructions for a USB firmware update.

Check for Software Conflicts:

  • Make sure your printer is not interacting with incompatible printer software. Reinstall the printer software from the HP website to ensure you have the latest version.

Print Hardware Diagnostics:

  • If possible, access any diagnostic tools available on the printer to check for internal hardware or software faults.

I hope this helps.
