Hi @Hellsbells4

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP DeskJet printer is printing blank pages despite the ink levels being good and no error messages, there are a few potential causes. Let’s go through the troubleshooting steps to figure out what might be happening:

1. Check the Print Head and Cartridges

Clogged Print Head: Even if the ink levels are good, the print head may be clogged. Printers often experience ink clogs, especially if they haven’t been used for a while.

  • You can run the print head cleaning utility through your printer software (usually available in the printer settings on your computer).
  • You may need to run the cleaning process a couple of times for better results.

Cartridges Properly Installed: Double-check that both ink cartridges are installed correctly. Remove them and reinstall them to ensure they are seated properly.

Check for Protective Tape: If you’ve recently replaced the ink cartridges, sometimes the protective tape covering the cartridge nozzles isn’t removed. Make sure the tape covering the ink nozzles is completely removed.

2. Printer Settings

Print Quality Settings: Sometimes the print quality settings can be set too low, resulting in blank pages. In your print settings, make sure you have selected an appropriate print quality (usually “Normal” or “Best” for regular printing).

Color vs. Black Print: If you’re printing in color, check if the color cartridges are working. Some printers won’t print anything if the color cartridge is dry or damaged, even if you’re printing in black and white.

3. Paper Type and Size

  • Paper Type Mismatch: Ensure that the paper type in your printer settings matches the paper you're using (e.g., plain paper, photo paper, etc.).
  • Paper Tray: Check that the paper is loaded correctly and aligned in the paper tray. Misalignment can sometimes cause printing issues, including blank pages.

4. Update Printer Drivers

  • Sometimes, an outdated driver can cause printing problems. Go to the HP website or use the HP support tool to check for any driver updates. An updated driver can resolve issues with communication between your computer and the printer.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
