Product: HP Photosmart 2725 all in one e-print
Operating System: macOS 10.13 High Sierra

I have a HP Photosmart 2725 all in one e-print. It was working, but now won't print at all when a document is sent to it. Internally it has a 5 cartridge print ink cassette. 4 of which accept the slimmer black, cyan, magenta and yellow cartridges. The 5th slot accepts the fatter black XL cartridge.

The slimmer black cartridge is empty and the black XL cartridge is full. I contacted HP and they said not to worry, that when I print my printer would automatically select the XL cartridge.

Now even though my printer prints a test sheet perfectly after having carried out clean printer heads, it now doesn't print any colour, black included. Since then I have also removed the ink cassette and cleaned it, to no avail.

Any thoughts or help would be most gratefully received!

@CharleySim, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

 

Kindly replace the empty/low ink cartridge to resume printing. This printer needs all 5 ink cartridges to be present and have a minimum amount of ink in them. If any of the ink cartridges is empty, you will not be able to print.

Many thanks, but took my printer apart and cleaned every part. Now it's working fine.
