Hi @B1G2us,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

If your Information light (the "i" icon) on your HP DeskJet 4155e is staying on or blinking, it's alerting you that something needs your attention—and yes, this can prevent printing.

Let’s resolve the issue and get your printer back in working order.

1. Check the HP Smart App

Open the HP Smart App on your computer or phone:

  • Tap your printer icon → See if it shows a banner or warning
  • Complete any setup steps it asks for (e.g., sign in or finish HP+ activation)
  • Clear any error messages shown in the app

The light may remain on until the HP Smart setup is complete (especially for first-time or recently reset printers).

2. Restart Everything

  1. Power off the printer
  2. Unplug the power cord for 60 seconds
  3. Restart your router and computer
  4. Plug the printer back in and turn it on
  5. Wait for it to reconnect to Wi-Fi (blue light should be solid)

3. Run Wireless Network Test

  1. Press and hold the Information ("i") button + Wireless button together until it prints a test report
  2. Review it to confirm Wi-Fi is connected and no errors are listed.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
