@JimM19, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your OfficeJet Pro being stuck on validating!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

If your HP OfficeJet Pro 9025e is stuck on "Validating" and won’t stop, try these troubleshooting steps:

1. Power Cycle the Printer

  1. Turn off the printer.
  2. Unplug the power cord from the printer and the wall outlet.
  3. Wait for 2-3 minutes.
  4. Plug the power cord back in and turn on the printer.

2. Check for Firmware Updates

  1. Go to HP Smart app or HP Support website on a computer.
  2. Check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer.
  3. If an update is available, install it and restart the printer.

3. Reset the Printer to Default Settings

  1. Swipe down on the printer’s touchscreen to open the Dashboard.
  2. Tap Setup (⚙️ icon) > Printer Maintenance > Restore > Restore Factory Defaults.
  3. Confirm the reset and let the printer restart.

4. Remove and Reinstall the Printer

  1. If the printer is connected via Wi-Fi or USB, remove it from your computer.
  2. Go to Settings > Devices > Printers & scanners on Windows or System Preferences > Printers & Scanners on Mac.
  3. Remove the HP printer and restart your computer.
  4. Reinstall the printer using HP Smart or the latest drivers from HP’s official website.

If the issue persists, let me know the exact screen message or any error codes, and I’ll guide you further!
