Hi @Redravin541,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I know how frustrating it is when your HP OfficeJet 3830 suddenly goes offline, and nothing seems to bring it back, even after trying all the right steps like restarting and unplugging. You're doing everything right, and I’m here to help you get it working again.

Step-by-Step Fix for Offline Printer

1. Check Wi-Fi Connection

  • Make sure your printer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your computer.
  • On the printer’s control panel, go to:
    • Settings > Wireless Settings > Wireless Summary
    • Confirm it shows “Connected” and the correct network name.

2. Restart Devices in Order

  • Turn off your printer, router, and computer.
  • Wait 30 seconds.
  • Turn on the router first, then the printer, and finally your computer.

3. Re-add the Printer in Windows

  • Go to Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Printers & scanners.
  • Remove the HP OfficeJet 3830 if listed.
  • Click “Add device” and wait for Windows to detect the printer again.

4. Use HP App

This tool can automatically fix offline issues: 🔗 HP App – For HP Printers, Laptops, and Tech Accessories | HP® Official Site

If Still Offline

Reset Network Settings on the Printer:

  • On the printer, go to:
    • Settings > Wireless Settings > Restore Network Defaults
  • Then use the HP Smart App or Windows Add Printer to reconnect.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
