When running easy start software on both mac and windows I encounter an issue when doing wireless network setup. On mac, after I have entered the network settings, it says verifying printer and then it says please unplug your device from USB to start using network connection. When I unplug my USB it still comes up with this message. On windows when I enter my wireless network settings it says verifying, then it says it failed to verify with an issue unknown tag.

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

@MOJOENGLISH, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

If you have any anti-virus software installed on the computer, kindly disable the same until the installation is complete.

Check for any software updates on MAC

Click the Apple icon > About This Mac > Software Update and install any available update.

Update the printer firmware using the USB cable from here.

Do not use a USB hub, connect the printer and the MAC directly.

Kindly follow the steps mentioned in this document - Changing from a USB to a Wireless Connection

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
