My printer doesn’t want to print it just takes the paper and bring itout clean even though there ink

My printer is a Hp DeskJet 4100 and I had not used it for close to a year and told I plugged it to print but it would bring the paper out without printing even though it has ink,after many attempts,the ink would just stain the paper and not print.What can I do?

After the ink is installed, the printer must be used regularly to keep the ink from drying out and / or clogging the printer.

What is regular?

Print maybe once a week, a document or image that includes text, perhaps a small image, and some color.

For lack of anything else you want to print, perhaps print a quality test report.

What to do?

At the least, you'll need to purchase and install a new set of HP ink cartridges --

Once the new set of cartridges are installed, the printer might start working or require one or more cleanings.

True - cleaning uses a bit of ink.

HP DeskJet 2600, 2700, 4100, 4800 printers - No black ink, wrong colors, other print quality issues
