@Mbayoumy, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you're experiencing both ink cartridge and power issues with your HP Smart Tank 7001 printer. Let's walk through some steps to help resolve both problems.

Ink Cartridge Issue

If you're seeing errors like "missing," "incompatible," or "not recognized" cartridges, try the following:

Check Cartridge Installation:

  • Open the ink access door and ensure all ink bottles are properly seated and the caps are tightly closed.
  • Make sure the ink tanks are filled with genuine HP ink.

Clean the Printhead:

  • Use the printer’s control panel or the HP Smart app to run a printhead cleaning cycle.

Reset the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer, unplug the power cord, wait 60 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on.

Check for Firmware Updates:

  • Use the HP Smart app or go to the HP Software & Drivers page to ensure your printer is up to date.

Power Issue

If your printer won’t turn on or randomly shuts off:

Check Power Source:

  • Ensure the power cord is securely connected to both the printer and a working wall outlet (avoid power strips or surge protectors).

Try a Power Reset:

  • Unplug the printer, wait 60 seconds, then plug it back in and press the power button.

Inspect the Power Cord:

  • Look for any visible damage. If damaged, the cord may need replacement.

Voltage Compatibility:

  • Make sure you're using the printer in the correct voltage region. Using incompatible voltage can damage the printer.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
