My printer is giving me "There is a problem with the printer or ink system.

HP Recommended
HP Officejet pro 8600 Plus

Please help me get this figured out. I am in desperate need of a printer and this one is NOT working. Do I need a new one?

@Goldie44, Welcome to the HP Support Community! I’m here to help.

 

I understand you are not able to use the printer due to this error. Kindly perform the steps mentioned in this document - An 'Ink System Failure' or 'System Supply Problem' Error Displays

 

Make sure you are using HP ink cartridges.

 

If the error persists, I'm afraid it is a hardware issue with the printer. If the printer is out of warranty, I suggest you upgrade the printer. You may visit Hp Store to check the available printers.
