I have removed and replaced both cartridges, ran multiple cleaning processes, unplugged and plugged printer back in and checked to make sure my firmware was up to date. I'm still printing blank pages.

Hi @Plandeche,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Try these steps:

1. Check Ink Levels: Ensure ink levels are adequate. If the cartridges are full but printing blank pages, it might indicate an issue with the cartridges themselves.

2. Perform a Self-Test Report: Print a self-test report to determine if there is a problem with the print cartridges.

  1. On the printer control panel, swipe downwards to open the Dashboard, and then touch the Setup icon.
  2. Touch Printer Maintenance.
  3. Touch Print Quality Report.

3. Remove Cartridge Protective Tape: Make sure the protective tape was completely removed from the print cartridges. Sometimes, the tape is only partially removed, which can block ink flow.

  • Carefully check each print cartridge for any remaining protective tape. Remove any tape covering the ink nozzles without touching the copper-colored contacts.

4. Clean Printhead: Other than performing automated cleaning, you might try manually cleaning the printhead.

  1. Power off the printer and unplug it.
  2. Remove the printhead and clean it with a lint-free cloth and a small amount of distilled water, ensuring no debris is blocking the nozzles.
  3. Reinsert the printhead and turn the printer back on.

5. Print Diagnostic Chart: Run a print diagnostic chart to check for nozzle issues.

  1. On the printer control panel, navigate to the Setup menu.
  2. Select Printer Maintenance.
  3. Choose Clean Printhead and follow on-screen instructions.

6. Align Printhead: Run the printhead alignment to fix any alignment issues.

  1. On the printer control panel, go to the Setup menu.
  2. Select Printer Maintenance.
  3. Choose Align Printhead and follow the instructions.

7. Firmware Update: Although you mentioned your firmware is up-to-date, verify again if there’s an available update and perform it just to be certain.

I hope this helps.
