Hi @mpitylak

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.

That error message 62.80.15 indicates a printhead issue, which can be caused by improper installation, clogged nozzles, or a faulty connection. No worries—I’ll guide you through the steps to fix it.

Step-by-Step Troubleshooting for Printhead Error 62.80.15

Check Printhead Installation

  • Open the printer’s ink cartridge access door.
  • Ensure the printhead is properly seated—if it looks out of place, gently remove and reinstall it.
  • Make sure the ink cartridges are fully clicked into place.
  • Close the access door and check if the error clears.

Clean the Printhead Contacts

  • Remove the printhead and use a lint-free cloth to gently wipe the gold contacts.
  • Avoid using liquids—just a dry cloth or alcohol-based cleaner if necessary.
  • Reinstall the printhead and restart the printer.

Run a Printhead Cleaning Cycle

  • On the printer’s control panel, navigate to Settings > Maintenance > Clean Printhead.
  • Run the cleaning cycle and try printing again.

Update Printer Firmware

  • Visit HP’s firmware update page and install the latest updates for your printer.
  • Restart the printer after updating.
