Hi @Reza1647,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd be happy to help you!

I understand that you are having issues with the initialization.

If your HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M177fw (CZ165V) printer is stuck during initialization in your office but works fine at home or other locations, it indicates that something specific to your office environment is affecting the printer. Here are some steps to diagnose and potentially resolve the issue:

1. Check the Power Supply

  • Verify the Power Source: Ensure the power outlet in your office is functioning correctly. Try plugging the printer into a different outlet within the office.
  • Avoid Power Strips: Connect the printer directly to a wall outlet to rule out issues with power strips or surge protectors.

2. Environmental Factors

  • Temperature and Humidity: Ensure the office environment meets the printer’s operating conditions (typically between 59°F and 86°F or 15°C and 30°C, and humidity between 20% and 80% RH).
  • Electromagnetic Interference: Ensure the printer is not placed near devices that might cause electromagnetic interference (e.g., microwaves, large metal objects, or other electronic devices). Try moving the printer to a different location within the office.

3. Network and Connectivity

  • Disconnect from Network: Disconnect any network cables (Ethernet) or disable Wi-Fi to see if the printer initializes without being connected to the network. If it initializes without network connection, there might be a network-related issue.
  • Check Network Settings: If the printer is connected to a network, ensure there are no IP conflicts or network issues. Try assigning a static IP address to the printer.

4. Firmware Update

  • Update Firmware: Ensure the printer’s firmware is up to date. You can check for firmware updates on the HP Support website and update the printer if needed.
    • Visit the HP Support website and search for your printer model.
    • Download and install any available firmware updates.

Kindly check the remaining steps in the next post.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance

Hi @Reza1647,

Please find the next steps below.

5. Reset the Printer

  • Hard Reset: Perform a hard reset of the printer to clear any potential software issues:
    • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
    • Wait for a minute, then plug it back in and turn it on.

6. Check for Error Messages

  • Display Panel: Look at the printer's display for any error messages or codes. Refer to the printer’s user manual or the HP website to interpret these error codes.

7. Remove and Reinstall Components

  • Toner Cartridges: Open the printer and remove the toner cartridges. Reinstall the toner cartridges and ensure all components are properly seated.
  • Other Components: Ensure all other components and doors are securely closed.

By following these steps, you should be able to diagnose and potentially resolve the issue causing your HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M177fw printer to get stuck during initialization in your office.

If none of the above steps resolve the issue, there might be a hardware fault or a more specific issue. Contact HP Phone Support for further assistance.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance

Hi Elohi_NR

Thank you for your comments and solution. I would like to inform you, except updating, all of other solutions have been done with out any result. It is very strange for any technician when I explain the problem. Most of them say that this problem is due to our office electric power, but nobody says what is the problem of power.?

We checked the fuses of the office. For a few seconds we disconnected the earth wire from the wall socket and plugged in the printer. But no chage in initializing and the printer stucked again in this process
