@Stephanie641, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer getting jammed!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

If your HP ENVY Pro 6455 All-in-One Printer had a paper jam and now won’t turn on, try these troubleshooting steps:

Check the Power Connection

  1. Unplug the printer from the power outlet.
  2. Wait for 60 seconds. This resets the internal power system.
  3. Plug the power cable directly into a wall outlet (avoid power strips or surge protectors).
  4. Press the power button and check if the printer turns on.

Check for Any Remaining Paper Jams

  1. Open the printer’s access door and remove any loose or torn paper.
  2. Use a flashlight to inspect the paper path, rollers, and inside compartments.
  3. Ensure the carriage moves freely by gently sliding it from side to side.
  4. Close the printer and try turning it on again.

Perform a Power Reset

  1. Unplug the printer and disconnect it from any USB cables.
  2. Remove the power cable from the back of the printer.
  3. Hold the Power button for 30 seconds.
  4. Plug the power cable back in and turn the printer on.

Check the Power Adapter and Cord

  1. Ensure you are using the original HP power adapter and cable.
  2. Try using a different power outlet.
  3. If possible, test with a compatible power cord from another HP printer.

Check for Hardware Damage

  • If there was force applied during the paper jam removal, there may be internal damage.
  • Listen for any beeping sounds, fan noises, or blinking lights.

Let me know if it helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
