Hi @Tracy2510,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
When your HP ENVY 6022e All-In-One Printer is in an error state and won't print, try the following troubleshooting steps.
Restart the Printer:
- Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
- Wait for about 60 seconds before plugging it back in and turning it on.
Check for Paper Jams:
- Open the printer and inspect for any paper jams or obstructions. Remove any jammed paper carefully.
Check Ink Cartridges:
- Ensure the ink cartridges are properly installed and have sufficient ink. Remove and reinsert the cartridges to ensure they are seated correctly.
Update Printer Firmware:
- Visit the HP support website and download the latest firmware for your printer model. Follow the instructions to update the firmware.
Run the Printer Troubleshooter (Windows):
- Go to Settings > Devices > Printers & scanners.
- Select your printer, click on "Manage," and then select "Run the troubleshooter."
Check Printer Connection:
- Ensure the printer is properly connected to your computer or network. If using WiFi, make sure the printer is connected to the correct network.
Clear Print Queue:
- Open the print queue on your computer and cancel any pending print jobs. Restart the print spooler service if necessary:
- Press Windows + R, type services.msc, and press Enter.
- Locate "Print Spooler" in the list, right-click it, and select "Restart."
Reinstall Printer Drivers:
- Uninstall the current printer driver from your computer.
- Download and install the latest driver from the HP support website.
Factory Reset the Printer:
- Perform a factory reset on your printer. This process can vary, so consult your printer's manual or the HP support website for specific instructions.
Check for Error Messages:
- If your printer's display shows a specific error message, refer to the HP support website or your printer's manual for guidance on resolving that particular error.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
