@Ellie19771977, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding a Stuck Wi-Fi Button on an HP Printer!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

If your HP printer's Wi-Fi button is stuck and you are unable to connect to Wi-Fi or use the printer for copying, you can try the following steps to resolve the issue:

Power Cycle the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
  • After waiting for about a minute, plug it back in and turn it on. This might reset any temporary glitches.

Check for Obstructions:

  • Inspect the Wi-Fi button to ensure there is nothing physically obstructing it or causing it to stick.

Perform a Hard Reset:

  • With the printer powered on, disconnect the power cord from the back of the printer.
  • Unplug the power cord from the outlet.
  • Wait for at least 60 seconds before plugging the power cord back into the outlet and reconnecting it to the printer.

Firmware Update:

  • Ensure that your printer's firmware is up to date. Visit the HP Support website for instructions on updating your printer's firmware.

Reset Wireless Settings:

  • Check your printer’s manual for a method to reset the wireless settings, which sometimes involves holding down specific buttons on the printer.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
