Hi @Gregg_Russell ,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you are getting an error code 0xc19a0013 on your HP OfficeJet Pro 8610 printer, which typically indicates an issue with the ink system, often related to the printhead or cartridges. Since you've already followed the virtual assistant's instructions without success, here are some additional steps you can try to clear the error:

1. Perform a Full Reset

  1. Turn off the printer.
  2. Disconnect the power cable from the back of the printer and the wall outlet.
  3. Wait for 10–15 minutes to clear residual power.
  4. Reconnect the power cable and turn on the printer.

2. Check for Blockages or Residue

  • Printhead Contacts:
    • Remove the printhead and check for any ink buildup or debris on the gold contacts.
    • Clean gently with a lint-free cloth dampened with distilled water.
  • Cartridge Contacts:
    • Ensure the cartridges are seated correctly and clean the contacts if needed.

3. Reset the Printhead

  1. Open the printer's access door.
  2. Remove all the ink cartridges.
  3. Lift the latch to remove the printhead assembly.
  4. Reinsert the printhead and lower the latch securely.
  5. Reinstall the ink cartridges and close the access door.

4. Update the Printer Firmware Update the firmware on an HP printer

  1. Visit HP's Software and Drivers page.
  2. Download and install the latest firmware for your HP OfficeJet Pro 8610.
  3. Follow on-screen instructions to update the printer.

5. Perform a Semi-Full Reset

This reset clears deeper configurations, including some ink system errors:

  1. Turn off the printer.
  2. Hold the Cancel (X) and Right Arrow buttons while turning it back on.
  3. Release the buttons once the printer powers on and displays the reset menu.
  4. Navigate to "Semi-Full Reset" using the touch screen.
  5. Allow the printer to restart and initialize.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
