Hi @Amy395,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble with your HP DeskJet 2700 printer. Here are some steps to troubleshoot and adjust the settings for printing.

Check Print Settings:

  • Before printing, access the printer settings from your computer. Adjust the print quality to ensure it's set to a better setting to avoid fading issues.
  • Ensure that you do not have any type of negative printing or mirror image option selected. This setting might be found in the advanced settings of your printer driver.

Update Printer Driver:

  • Make sure you have the latest printer driver installed for your HP DeskJet 2700. You can download the latest drivers from the HP Support website.

Check Ink Cartridges:

  • Ensure that your ink cartridges are properly installed and not low on ink. Replace any cartridges that are empty or low on ink.

Run Printer Troubleshooter:

  • Run the HP Print and Scan Doctor, a free tool provided by HP that can diagnose and resolve printing issues. It can be downloaded from the HP website.

Check for Software Issues:

  • If you're printing from third-party software, ensure that the software settings are set correctly for printing.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
