This is a strange one for sure! After a firmware update my LaserJet Pro MFP M281fdw suddenly began cycling off and on continuously. Each time initialization is complete the printer connects to the network (wirelessly or via ethernet makes no difference), and within a few seconds it displays the error code "79 Service Error, Turn off then on." The printer then shuts off automatically and cycles back on and repeats...endlessly. HOWEVER, the printer will initialize and enter "ready" mode IF wifi is disabled and ethernet is unplugged. The printer will work fine IF connected to my computer via USB cable, but the second any kind of network connection in enabled the error code displays and it begins cycling off and on again.
Please help! I have worked on this for many hours and tried everything I can find in the documentation.
Any ideas what I am missing?
thanks!
