I have a Neverstop laser MFP 1202w printer that always gives me an error and won't print from my HP laptop.  I've downloaded and updated the latest HP Smart app.  The app tells me it sees the printer is online.  I can easily print from my Iphone without any errors but not from my PC.  It will always state: error, printing, in queue

@Sparky5573,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Restart Everything

  • Power off the printer, your laptop, and your router.
  • Wait for a minute, then turn them back on, starting with the router, then the printer, then your laptop.

 Check Default Printer Setting

  • Open Control PanelDevices and Printers.
  • Right-click your HP Neverstop Laser MFP 1202w and set it as Default Printer.

 Clear Print Queue

  • Open Run (Win + R), type services.msc, and hit Enter.
  • Scroll down to Print Spooler, right-click it, and select Stop.
  • Navigate to C:\Windows\System32\spool\PRINTERS and delete any files inside.
  • Go back to Services, right-click Print Spooler, and select Start.

 Reinstall the Printer

  • Go to Control PanelDevices and Printers.
  • Right-click your HP Neverstop printer and Remove Device.
  • Download and install the full driver from the HP Support website.
  • Follow the setup process to reconnect your printer.

 Check Port and Driver

  • Open Control PanelDevices and Printers.
  • Right-click your printer, go to Printer PropertiesPorts.
  • Ensure the correct port is selected (usually WSD for a network printer).
  • Under Advanced, ensure the driver selected is the correct HP Neverstop Laser MFP 1202w driver.

Try Printing Using a Different Method

  • Open Notepad, type some text, and try printing from there.
  • Try using HP Print and Scan Doctor (download here) to diagnose and fix issues.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
