New color cartridges installed, still only printing in blue and black

HP Recommended
HP OfficeJet Pro 6978

I just installed all-new compatible ink cartridges - black, yellow, cyan, and magenta. The issue is that my printer is only printing in cyan and black. I have tried several file types, went through the troubleshooter to clean and align the printhead, and reinstalled the cartridges. Nothing so far has worked.

@SFREEBUS, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

I appreciate your efforts in trying to resolve this issue by performing the necessary troubleshooting steps. This seems like an issue with the printhead of the printer.

Check the ink levels on the printer screen, to make sure the printer reads all the 4 ink cartridges.

Make sure you have tried the steps mentioned in this document - Black or Color Ink Not Printing, Other Print Quality Issues.

Run the printhead cleaning twice, clear the vents and print a print quality report to check the results.

If the issue persists, please reach out to the HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer.

If the printer is out of warranty, I suggest you upgrade the printer. You may visit Hp Store to check the available printers.

Keep me posted for any other assistance.
