Solved!

New ink cartridge error

HP Envy 5660

I just installed new cartridges from HP.  I get the message that I need to remove and reinstall the cartridges.  I have done that several times.  I have also cleaned the surface per the HP guidelines and even disconnected and rebooted the printer.  Nothing helps.  Any suggestions?

If you have already performed the steps from the document HP Printer Does not Print and Error Indicates Faulty Ink Cartridge and the issue persists, it could be a hardware failure.

 

Please reach out to the HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer.

I have followed all the steps HP recommended and the problem is still there.  After searching the HP site and googling the problem I have determined the HP62 cartridge from Instant Ink is defective.  My question is:  How do I get a replacement HP62 cartridge from Instant Ink?

Installed two brand new HP cartridges (color and black). The message on the printer says the cartridges must be replaced. My printer is a 4500 all-in-one.

If you have already performed all the required steps, please contact HP Support in your region for replacement cartridges

 

1) Click on this link - www.hp.com/contacthp/ 
2) Select your product type below.
3) Enter the serial of your device. 
4) Select the country from the drop-down. 
5) Select the chat or get phone number options based on your preferences. 
6) Fill the web-form and proceed further.
