I bought an original cartridge and it's not working. It is not recognized

Hi @oscarandres73 

 

If your HP DeskJet Ink Advantage Ultra 4729 is not recognizing the original cartridge, here are some steps you can try:

1. Check Cartridge Installation

  • Make sure the cartridge is properly installed. Remove it and reinsert it, ensuring it clicks into place.

2. Inspect Cartridge

  • Check for any protective tape or plastic that may still be on the cartridge. Remove any such tape.

3. Clean the Contacts

  • Use a soft, lint-free cloth to gently clean the gold contacts on the cartridge and the corresponding contacts inside the printer. Dirt or residue can cause recognition issues.

4. Power Cycle the Printer

  • Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, wait for about 60 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on.

5. Update Firmware
