HP Color Laser Jet CP1518ni

I was gifted a HP Color Laser Jet CP1518ni printer.  I keep getting the No Paper Pickup - Press Okay Error Message and nothing happens.  How do I fix it?

The most common cause of feed issues on this design are bad/worn pickup roller. If you check youtube there are many videos showing how to rotate the roller so you can either examine it or remove it. A good roller will have a consistent dark color and small fingerprint like ridges. Dirty rollers will be grey or have visible contamination. A worn roller will have badly worn and often completely missing ridges. Part number is an RM1-4426.

If you find the information provided useful or solves your problems, help other users find the solution easier by giving kudos and marking my post as an accepted solution.
