Hey guys, I need HELP because I cannot get a live person on the phone at HP for any help and I have been trying all day.
I purchased what was supposed to be a "new" Office Jet 8025 Printer from someone local and there are no setup cartridges! I cannot seem to bypass anything and I am already out the money for the printer and also all of the new ink.
Is there any other solution for this? Where can I buy new setup cartridges for this printer? It is still under warranty.

@DeMarie, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

  • The ink cartridges that go with the printers are setup ink cartridges that are designed to initialize the printer.
  • These ink cartridges are not available at local stores for purchase.

You may return the printer back to the store and get a replacement one or we can try to perform a reset on the printer to bypass the use of setup ink cartridges so that you may use the regular HP ink cartridges.

I have sent you a private message with the reset instructions. Check next to your profile name, you should see a little blue envelope, please click on it.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
