No printing from black ink cartridge

OfficeJet 5255
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Having an issue where the black ink cartridge doesn't seem to be working. I've attempted to print with two different cartridges both with a high ink level and I have gonna through the diagnostic tools on the printer.  I've also attempted cleaning the cartridge manually as per the diagnostic page for the Officejet 5255 with no change. print come out either blank or with small blotted lines, but color printing is working fine.

If you have already performed the steps from the document No black ink, wrong colors, other print quality issues, and the issue persists, it could be a hardware failure.

 

Please reach out to the HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer.
