@MacShack The only other thing we can do is, to create a new user account only to check if that works fine: click here for details,

If that doesn't work either, I suggest you talk to HP support and discuss your options, follow the below steps to get started:

1) Click on this link - http://www.hp.com/contacthp/

2) Click on Sign-in or select the product using the below step:

3) Enter the serial of your device.

4) Select the country from the drop-down.

5) Click on "Show Options".

Fill the web-form, to populate a case number and phone number for yourself!

Also, if you are having trouble navigating through the above options, it's most likely because the device is out of warranty, if yes? please send me a private message with the region you are contacting us from,

here's how private messages work: Click here for details.

If you wish to thank me for my efforts, you could click on "Accept as solution" on my post as the solution should help others too.

@MacShack Note: Please ensure the complete product name/number for a quicker response from the community, as we need to know what we are dealing with to provide an accurate solution: Click here for steps on finding the information we need!

Remember: Do not share any of your personal information such as serial, phone number, email ID, etc.

Meanwhile, check if the photocopies work,

And I recommend you delete the driver at the root level and retry, follow the steps below:

1.) In Windows, search for and open Programs and features

2.) Select your HP Printer

3.) Select Uninstall

4.) In Windows, search for and open Devices and printers

5.) In the Devices and Printers windows look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose `Delete' or `Remove Device'

6.) Open up the run command with the "Windows key + R" key combo.

7.) Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between "printui.exe" and "/s")

8.) Click on the "Drivers" tab

9.) Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click Remove at the bottom

10.) Select Ok

11.) Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows

12.) Close Devices and Printers

Then, Click here to access the HP website, find the drivers compatible with your windows and install it.

If the issue persists, please go ahead and install the windows built-in drivers:

If a full feature driver from HP is not available for your printer, you must install the built-in print driver. A full feature driver for one or more Windows versions is not available for your printer, either from the CD that shipped with your printer or from the HP website.

   NOTE:

Where is the download button? The HP print driver is built into the Windows operating system or is installed through the Windows Update feature on your computer. You do not need to download anything from a website in order to print, scan, or fax.

See the Frequently asked questions in this document for additional information, including how to scan using this driver.

My PC is  HP Pavilion all in one desktop touch screen 64 bit.

Printer is HP621111  (HP Envy 4510 series)

I have already tried your suggestion. It does not help.  Why can none of the tech support people understand that my printer works perfectly. The problem is with Windows 10.  Something has gone wrong with the printer properties box.  I used to get a dialogue box like this:

Print Dialogue Box.JPG

Now I get one like this:

Print Dialogue Box 2.JPG

As you can see, there is no color option. How do I get the old box back?

I understand your concerns.

I would suggest you try the Windows built-in drivers. Follow the steps below:

•    Go to Control Panel - Devices and printers - Click on "Add printer" and follow the on-screen instructions.

•    When the page prompts for the drivers, select "Windows update". The driver list will be updated.

•    Click HP, Hewlett Packard, or Hewlett-Packard in the Manufacturer pane, and then click the name of your printer in the Printers pane.

Refer to this document HP Printers - Installing and Using the Windows Built-in Print Driver for help

Have a nice day!!

Can't follow these instructions. Requires a WPS  pin number which I can't find.   HP says it is on the printer, or on  the instructions that came with it.  Not true!

(P.S. My son tells me to buy a Mac)

@MacShack In order to use the WPS Pin, you need to enter the password to your Wi-Fi network, on to your HP Envy 4510 Printer. The password is the same as the one you use to connect the Wi-Fi network to your other devices when you first set up the connection between the wireless network and the device.

You may also try to find the WPS Pin on the back of your router if you have not changed the password and the name of the wireless network since purchasing your router for the first time.

Another way to discover the WPS Pin is by using your IP address as follows:

  • Enter your IP address into the internet browser (this is usually 192.168.1.1 OR it can be found on a sticker at the back of your router)
  • Enter your Login and Password details in the login page (The default Login ID and password is usually ‘admin’ and ‘admin’ OR ‘admin’ and ‘password’ OR it can be found on the sticker at the back of your router, if you haven’t changed it since the purchase of the router)
  • Once you enter into the page, select Wireless Settings
  • Under the category of wireless settings, select the WPS section to reveal the WPS Pin
  • Use this Pin and enter the Password into the HP Envy 4510 printers that you are trying to connect to your wireless network

To easily connect the printer to the wireless network without needing to manually input the WPS Pin, follow these instructions:

  • Press the WPS button on your router
  • Follow this by pressing the WPS button on your HP Envy 4510 Printer
  • This will make the need to manually enter your Wi-Fi password, unnecessary since the wireless network and the HP Envy 4510 Printer are now connected automatically

P.S: While I respect your son's choice, Mac doesn't have as many free apps and customization options as Windows.

That said, the choice is yours, good luck!
