Hi
You may try to reconnent the USB cable from PC and printer. see if helps...
If issue still persists, Try this:
- Firstly, unplug everything from the laptop, including mouse. Delete the printer.
- Plug in your printer usb in laptop.
- Visit this doc: HP Printers - Installing and Using the Windows Built-in Print Driver https://support.hp.com/sg-en/document/c01796879#:~:text=Click%20Devices%20and%20Printers%2C%20and%20...
- Go to "Step 3: Install the print driver with the Add a Printer wizard", refer to this area "USB connection (Windows 10, 8)"
- Refer "Step4: Print documents" to check if the issue resolve.
Moving forward, You could avoid the issue by connecting a powered-on USB printer before starting Windows.
