HP Officejet 5470
macOS 10.15 Catalina

Hi There,

From my MAC Catalina Version 10.15.5, I can't find color printing options from MS Word and PDF files.  I also can't print on both sides of the paper. The printer firmware has been updated to the latest.

I tried from my Windows 10 PC as well. I can't print at all from PDF files.

I need your assistance asap. I am happy to be over the TeamViewer session to show the issues.

Many thanks in advance..

Cheers,

Mohammad

@rono711, Welcome to HP Support Community!

I understand you're unable to print in color and also unable to print duplex from your computer. This could be an issue with the driver settings or the installed drivers, let us try to isolate and resolve the issue-

Check the settings before you send the print job. Refer to the document HP Printers - Print Settings Guide (Mac) for help.

ensure that the printer is up to date with its firmware and Mac is up to date with its software. If you are unsure you may use the links below to update the printer firmware and Mac software:

Update printer firmware

Update software on Mac

Remove and add the printer

Click the Apple menu, and then select System Preferences.

Depending on your operating system version, click Print & Fax, Print & Scan, or Printers & Scanners.

Click the name of your printer, click the Minus sign, and then delete the printer.

Select printer and click the minus sign

Click the Plus sign, and then click Add Printer or Scanner.

Click the Use or Print Using box, and then select AirPrint

Select AirPrint from the Use menu

Click Add to add the printer to the list.

Try to print.

Keep me posted for further assistance.
