Not printing black ink

HP Recommended
HP Photosmart Premium C410b
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Can anyone help me. My printer worked fine until the 364XL black cartridge ran out last week. I replaced the cartridge and although I can hear the liquid ink in the cartridge and all status indicators say that there is ink in the cartridge, it will not print. I have tried all the virtual assistant's suggestions including changing for another cartridge that came in the same order as the first that doesn't work, and still nothing prints from the black cartridge, all other cartridges work fine.

 

I don't have an ink subscription as the volume of consumption is erratic so I buy my supplies direct from HP here in the UK. The last time I experienced this it was because the cartridges supplied were not for UK use, but I have checked the packaging on the current ones and they are the correct ones. I can't find any means to contact HP directly to ask for an exchange because I am convinced that it's the cartridges that are the problem.

 

Any alternative suggestions to the virtual assistant's would be gratefully rec'd.
