Microsoft Windows 11

When I print odd pages from a document with an uneven margins, my printer is not following the pagination in the document. But when I print even pages, they print just fine.

I always print odd and even pages. This is the first time I am encountering this issue.

Any help would be appreciated! Thank you and God bless you!

Hi @lloydcelzo

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like you're having a specific issue with printing odd pages from a document. Here are some steps to help troubleshoot the problem:

Check Page Layout Settings:

  • Ensure that the page layout settings in your document (like margins, orientation, and paper size) are consistent for all pages. Sometimes, uneven margins can cause misalignment when printing.

Update Printer Drivers:

  • Make sure your printer drivers are up to date. Visit the manufacturer’s website to download and install the latest drivers for your printer model.

Print Settings:

  • When printing, double-check the print settings. Ensure that you're selecting the correct options for odd pages and that any scaling options are set correctly (e.g., "Fit to Page" vs. "Actual Size").

Preview Before Printing:

  • Use the print preview feature to see how the odd pages will look before printing. This can help identify any issues with pagination or formatting.

Test with a Different Document:

  • Try printing odd pages from a different document to see if the issue persists. This can help determine if the problem is with the specific document or the printer.

Reset Printer Settings:

  • Sometimes resetting the printer to its factory settings can resolve unexpected issues. Be sure to back up any important settings before doing this.

Check for Software Conflicts:

  • Ensure that no other software or background processes are interfering with the printing process. You might also try printing from a different application to see if the issue persists.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.

Thank you very much for your time in responding. I updated the drivers, check the margins and the paper size and everything is printing okay now.
