Hi @Hubb72,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP printer displays the action but doesn’t actually print or copy, here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try.

Check Printer Status and Errors:

  • Ensure there are no error messages or warnings on the printer's display or in the printer software on your computer.

Check Paper and Ink Levels:

  • Verify that there is paper in the tray and that the ink or toner cartridges are properly installed and not empty.

Restart Devices:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source. Wait for about 60 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on. Also, restart your computer or device.

Check for Paper Jams:

  • Inspect the printer for any paper jams or obstructions and clear them if necessary.

Update or Reinstall Printer Drivers:

  • Make sure you have the latest printer drivers installed. You can download them from the HP website or use the HP Smart app to check for updates.

Printer Queue and Connectivity:

  • Ensure there are no pending print jobs in the queue that might be causing a block. Go to your computer's printer settings, cancel any stuck jobs, and try printing again.

Run Printer Diagnostics:

  • Use the printer's built-in diagnostic tools or the HP Print and Scan Doctor to detect and resolve any issues.

Reset Printer Settings:

  • If none of the above steps work, try performing a factory reset on the printer.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
