@Doobie49, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Printing Issues When Photo Page is On!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
If your HP Photosmart printer displays a message indicating that the "photo page is on" and you are unable to print, follow these steps to resolve the issue:
Check the Print Settings:
- Ensure that the printer is not set to print photos when you intend to print documents. Adjust the print settings in the printer software on your computer to disable photo printing.
Paper Tray Configuration:
- Verify that the paper is correctly loaded in the tray. The printer may assume a photo page is on if it's incorrectly configured to use photo paper instead of plain paper.
- Adjust the paper width and length guides to fit the paper snugly without bending it.
Disable Photo Tray:
- If your printer has a separate photo tray, ensure that it is not engaged if you are printing regular documents. Slide the photo tray slider back to its original position to disengage it.
Check Printer Status Lights:
- Observe any status lights related to paper trays or errors, and consult your printer's guide to understand their meanings.
Reset Printer Settings:
- Press the "Tools" button on the printer’s control panel, navigate using the LCD, and reset any photo printing settings. You can reset all tool settings to default if necessary.
Hope this helps!
Take care, and have an amazing day!
