Nothing printing on pages

I've setup my printer, I think.  But when I try to print test pages or anything, it acts like it's printing but there is no ink on the page.  Sometimes there's a little blob of ink on the bottom of the page.  I will say that I've had the printer for several years and just never used it.

If the printer was sitting unused for a long time with the ink cartridges installed then you will need to replace them.
