Hi @SaraC5,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you are getting the event code 71.02.4A on an HP OfficeJet Pro 8025 which typically indicates a hardware or firmware issue. Here are a few steps you can try to resolve the problem:

1. Power Cycle the Printer

  • Turn off the printer and disconnect the power cord.
  • Wait for at least 60 seconds.
  • Reconnect the power cord and turn the printer back on.

2. Check for Paper Jams

  • Open all access doors and trays to check for any paper jams or obstructions.
  • Remove any jammed paper or debris carefully.

3. Firmware Update Update the firmware on an HP printer

  • Ensure that your printer's firmware is up to date. You can check for updates by:
    • Visiting the HP support website.
    • Using the HP Smart app on your smartphone or computer.

4. Reset the Printer

  • Restore factory defaults:
    • Go to the printer’s Control Panel.
    • Navigate to Settings > Printer Maintenance > Restore > Restore Factory Defaults.
    • Confirm the restoration process.

Refer to this document: HP OfficeJet Pro 8025 All-in-One Printer User manual

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
