My Office Jet pro 9015e is showing a message stating “There is a problem with the supply system. Try replacing the effective cartridge with a different non-empty cartridge. If message reappears again record message and contact support”

I’ve tried turning off and back on and unplugging for 60 seconds.
I don’t want to go buy another cartridge just to have it. Tell me it still doesn’t work when I have hundreds of dollars of cartridges that I might not be able to use if this printer is dying.

@derekg92, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding OfficeJet Pro 9015e Supply System Problem!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

It sounds like your OfficeJet Pro 9015e is experiencing supply system issues with its cartridges. This is a known issue that can sometimes occur due to poor electrical contact between the cartridge and the printer, or a defective cartridge.

Here are some steps you can try to resolve the issue:

Check Cartridge Installation: Remove the cartridges and ensure they are correctly installed. Reinsert them carefully to ensure proper contact.

Clean Electrical Contacts:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it.
  • Open the printer and remove the cartridges.
  • Using a lint-free cloth slightly dampened with water or isopropyl alcohol, gently wipe the cartridge's electrical contacts.
  • Clean the electrical contacts inside the printer.
  • Allow both the printer and the cartridges to dry completely.

Try a Test Cartridge: If you have another cartridge available, try installing it to check if the message persists.

Restart the Printer:

  • Plug the printer back in and turn it on.
  • Reinstall the cartridges and check if the problem persists.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
