I'm receiving a "Missing or failed printhead" message even though everything appears to be installed correctly. This isn't a new printer, it's been working fine, and nothing has been altered since it's last use.
Is there any way to clean the printheads? or does anyone have other suggestions as to how I can fix this?

A warm welcome to HP Community!

HP Officejet 6700 printer has a fixed or non removable printhead. I'm afraid, its not possible to remove the printhead. However, power resetting the printer and cleaning the cartridge electrical contacts may resolve the issue. Let's try these steps:

1) Make sure this printer is plugged into a direct wall, not a surge protector

2) Remove all of your ink cartridges from the printer and close the door

3) Remove the power cord from the back of the printer (Do no press the power button)

4) Clean the ink cartridge electrical contacts, refer to step 4 from this document.

5) Plug the power cord back into the printer

6) Wait for the printer to turn on completely, then install the ink cartridges.
